The house
Delphine Aubert trained for eleven years in Grasse, then opened a small gallery of scent in Beverly Hills: twelve perfumes on the walls, three hundred and forty materials on the organ behind them, and a formula on file for everyone who has sat with her.
Every perfume here is blended and bottled in the studio, a few dozen bottles at a time. The house collection hangs in the front room like a show you can wear. The organ in the back is where your own begins: a curved desk of small bottles, a stack of paper blotters, and as long as it takes.

Three acts, on your own skin
Top notes — the first fifteen minutes
The opening
Citrus, green leaves and spice: the bright, quick materials you smell as the perfume leaves the bottle, and the first to go.
Heart notes — the hours after
The heart
Flowers, orris and fruit: the character of the perfume, and the part people notice when you walk past them.
Base notes — what stays until morning
The base
Woods, resins and musks: slow, warm and close to the skin. The part of your perfume that is still there tomorrow.

Your own perfume, in six weeks
Three sittings with Delphine, up to six revisions, and a 100 ml hand-numbered bottle. Your formula stays on file for life; refills are $210 per 100 ml.

The sitting
Ninety minutes at the organ. We talk about places, people and seasons, the perfumes you love and the ones you cannot stand, and you smell forty materials blind.

First sketches
Within ten days, three small vials: three directions your perfume could go. Wear them for a week and notice which one you reach for.

Refinement
Two more sittings over the next four weeks and up to six revisions, until it smells like you on your own skin.

Your bottle
100 ml in a hand-numbered bottle. The formula stays on file for life, and a reorder ships anywhere in the US within five days.

How long does a perfume last on skin?
Six to eight hours for an eau de parfum, which is how all twelve house perfumes are made, and longer for an extrait. It lasts longer on moisturized skin and longer still on clothes.
Can you copy a famous perfume?
We don't copy, but we can begin from what you love about one. Bring it to your sitting and we'll take it apart together.
I have allergies. Can I still wear your perfumes?
We list every material in a perfume on request, and in a commission we can leave out anything you react to.
Do you ship?
Yes, two-day shipping anywhere in the US, signature on delivery. A reorder of your own formula ships within five days.
Can I return a bottle?
Unopened bottles, within 30 days. If you're unsure, start with the discovery set: the full $58 is credited toward your first full bottle.
Can I give a sitting as a gift?
Yes. Gift cards cover any sitting or workshop, and we'll send it in a card by mail or by email.
